Future Hug a Bear Owner with Questions

Hi All!

I went and met some of your puppies a few weeks ago (when they were 8 weeks), fell in love and have submitted an application for an August puppy! I have two questions for current owners:

1. I was told by Colleen that the dogs, "do not shed." Is this true or are you expienceing shedding and how much?
2. I saw this review online that some dogs are experiencing allergy issues. Are any of you seeing this with your dog?

Hi Kelly. Wilby is a Shyla baby and sheds very very little. I can get a small amount of hair when I brush him and occasionally find a strand around the house but that's usually from his tail catching on something. I wouldn't say he doesn't shed at all, but definitely not a noticeable amount. It really depends on their coat. The curlier = less shedding. Wilby has a wavy to curly coat so that's probably why he doesn't shed much. We also keep his hair cut at about 1-3" and it's easier to brush and maintain. He does not have any allergies. I know a lot of time allergies are related to food and other times it's just random and has nothing to do with the parents, just like people. Wilby eats Wellness Core and has since he was a puppy. I highly recommend it :) If you have any questions just ask. Wilby is the BEST dog ever and I wouldn't hesitate to get another hug a bear doodle :)

My Phoebe is still a puppy so I don't know if she will shed.  Did you get a puppy?

Not yet, we have a deposit down and the puppies are due any day!
