For those of you with dogs who like Himalayan Chews, how long do you let them chew them?

Daisy gets one and will really chew on it for a couple hours, then she is done. until the next day. however she has figured out that if she drops it on the tile floor it will break in pieces. its then too small for her to chew. I take the pieces and randomly cook in microwave for 40 sec. they puff up into like a crispy puff. when it cools I give it to her and she eats it.

We haven't tried the cheese and milk one, so far we have used the Himalayan RuffRoots and she loves it! Its a big root from Spain and completely natural. It is more of a toy than a chew though.

Where do you get those? I have looked but not found them

We got them at PetSmart. The big ones were on sale for $7 but I don't know the usual price:)

You can get the ruff roots at specialty pet stores or you can always order from amazon or other online retailers. I have not tried them yet but I have seen them in our dog food store and will try them soon.

Cooper will chew on it for about 5-10 minutes at a sitting.  I leave it on the rug for him so he goes to it whenever he is bored.  I see him chew on it once or twice a day, sometimes not everyday.  Ours last a few weeks.  When it gets to about an inch left, I microwave it for him :)  Amazon has it cheaper than PetSmart.

Thanks everyone.  Molly loves hers.  I think she would chew on it all day.  She likes her antlers, but loves these.  We tried bully sticks, but that gave her diarrhea.  I will have to try the ruff roots.
