wet under pup's eyes

Hi everyone :) First time posting! Just got my baby girl last week, she's an 8 week old F1-B golden doodle. She's perfection if I do say so myself. ;) My question is, it's always wet or dried tears under her eyes and I'm wondering how to get rid of it. I use a baby wipe but it doesn't really clean it up and it returns shortly after. Any thoughts? Thank you :) Photo attached to show.

Sometimes, that can be caused by clogged tear ducts, so I would have your vet take a look at your next visit. I don't have any firsthand experience with this, but I remember reading somewhere that a gentle massage of the area can resolve the problem, but again, check with your veterinarian. Your little girl is very cute!

The wetness can be caused by clogged, small or closed tear ducts.  My dog had a both a small (micro) and closed tear duct keeping the tears from properly draining.  Surgery enlarged one and opened the other tear duct.  The ophthalmologist did say not to massage the tear duct area as you increase introducing infection to the eyes. Have your vet take a look or check with a ophthalmologist.

And some dogs have tearing.  It can be a 'poodle' thing genetically.

Let us know what you find out.  My labradoodle, Rosco, had entropian eye and required surgery (bottom of eyelids turned in so he constantly looked like he was crying) and he required surgery.  I hope you only have a clogged duct issue!

A lot of breeds have this brown discharge including Maltese and poodles. Both my Persian cats have it too. I've talked to a poodle owner who told me that is the reason they shave poodle faces. My Goldendoodle didn't have any eye problems until recently. But Lucky likes to roll in the mud and his coat collects a lot of debris.  Lucky went from having no eye discharge at all to having green and yellow discharge.  Took him to the vet and it is just irritation.  We have him on anti-inflammatory and anti-biotic.  Now one of his eyes are back to normal and the other one is still goopy.  I contacted my groomer and she said they can do a thing called viser and eye scoop.  They give these cuts often to Doodles.  I would have to take him twice a month.  If you want to rule out any health concerns, I would take him to the vet and then talk to your groomer.  Because Goldendoodles need hair cuts every 6-8 weeks, most groomers have a package or monthly plan.  My groomer offer a 50% discount if you bring your dog in every month.

thank you all so much!!! i've been using a warm wet cloth and it seems to have gotten much better. :) i did order these, i'll update if they're great or not. it hasn't been so awful the last few days after doing the warm wet cloth though.
