I have been going through this I need a puppy, I really don't need a puppy conundrum all the time with myself. I look at my breeders website, I look at the shelter website. I convince myself I need another dog. Then I convince myself I don't.

Then today when I was at work looking at Katie's breeders website I saw that they have decided to retire Katie's mom. She's a sweet 6 year old and they are going to retire her for the price of a spay and a dental. And I don't think I can resist. I love Katie so much. I'm sure that her mom is just as sweet.

There's part of me that thinks that life is a lot easier with just one dog. But there's part of me that thinks that life is a lot more fun with two. I just hope I'm doing the right thing. I don't want to be abandoned by dogs who would rather play with each other than me.

Anyway, I'm excited, I'm nervous, I hope I figure out what the right thing is to do.

What a neat opportunity! I can't wait to hear how it all goes when you pick her up :)

We have had two or more dogs for a long time.  Back in 2003, we had a shephard who died leaving a standard poodle who had always had his companion.  We got our first doodle at that time.  They are so bonded with other dogs, that we find we need to have at least two.  Right now we have three doodles and another coming this afternoon to spend a week with us while her parents are traveling.  We have all kinds of doodles, and would never go back to just one dog.  Good luck with your search.  You will not be sorry that you adopt another doodle.

That is going to be adorable! Good Luck! I would love to get Bella's mom if she retired. But three doodles, in a rental? I can only dream:)

Do it!! I have a momma and son (I have always owned the momma and raised her pups for the breeder)--they are best friends, but love me too--and I have a third doodle who is unrelated--having more than one does not change their devotion to you--it is merely more crowded at your feet!

They could not be any cuter if they tried! I think I made the right decision. My girl is home!!

I love your menagerie.  All different colors!

Congrats.  Will be watching for homecoming photos!

Introducting Miss Ava Grace - she didn't show any recognition to her name. And she is very very quickly coming to her new name for treats. She's cut short, but soon she will be all doodly goodness. I am so glad I decided to have her come live with us!

She's adorable! And she looks happy, too!

Welcome to DK, Ava Grace! You don't know it yet, but you just won the doodle lottery! Happy tails to you, sweetie!

She is so cute! I am so happy for you! Good Luck!!

I love her look....she is so beautiful and looks happy!

Thank you! She seems pretty happy. I'm not sure she knows what to think yet, but she is really enjoying an antler right now.
