Red or Black Kong for puppy's crate?

I don't know how strong of a chewer Goldendoodles are... should I go with red or black? 

This will be for when he's unsupervised in the crate while I"m at work.

Also should I go with size large?  He will be 8 weeks when I bring him home.

I think you should go with the medium red for now:) As he gets older and you see his chewing habits, then you can figure out which one is really the best option, or stick with this one!

But, Kong makes ones especially for chewing puppies and that lasted Bella about 8 or 9 months, which is more than you will probably(hopefully) need:) I think they only sell the large puppy size in certain places though....

P.S. Heads Up! You will be buying a lot more toys than you planned to!

Congratulations on getting a new puppy! So exciting! Looking forward to seeing pictures of your new fur baby. Just wanted to offer a suggestion... It's best to supervise before leaving puppy alone with any new toys. That way you know what his chewing habits are and what will be safe for him. Our Toby is  a power chewer and will destroy most anything within minutes. We have kongs and that is about the only thing he has not chewed up.

None of my doodles have ever chewed on the kongs.  They will eat food out of them, but then ignore them :/
