Things are really popping in the garden right now. So much foliage and so many flowers.

I have had azaleas, which are now fading:

and then there are the rhododendrons just getting going:

The weigela:

and there are columbines:

I have roses just starting and clematis too. So lets keep this thread going. What's blooming in your garden?

Thank you. I only have just under an acre though.

Being in the triple digits for several weeks has caused some of my garden plants to look just plain tired!  However, my cannas are really quite glorious right now. I planted the Tropical Salmon canna which has emerald green leaves in front of the taller Tropicanna which has varigiated leaves.  The hummingbirds and butterflies seem to love the Tropical Salmon flower.  Any one else growing cannas?

This combo of Cannas is really beautiful. I rarely grow any tropical things since they have to be grown as annuals, or put in a shelter or dug up for winter. I have never grown Cannas.

Thanks F. Year before last my cannas actually made it through our mild winter.  This year I had to replant.  We had the strangest weather patterns in Feb Mar and got a freeze.  I lost my eucalyptus tree which had weathered the winter for 5 years even though it was in an extremely protected area.  I was so disappointed.

I hate when things die but just about everything made it through for me but some shrubs didn't bloom.

This is possibly the "Last Rose of Summer"!

Beautiful! I still have roses budding here in NJ.

Thanks F.  We recently have had cold nights, and lots of wind and now rain (the rain is unusual)!

So pretty!

Thanks Anne.  Our temps are back in lows 60s today - hooray!
