My 6 month old pup, Jax, just got neutered today and I was wondering if anyone has any tips for me. He currently has the "cone of shame" on and he really doesn't like it. I have also heard that putting boxer shorts on him helps too. I was wondering what other people are doing and just regular tips.

Not sure how big Jax is but we recently used a baby diaper shirt for Lucy. She is a mini Aussiedoodle and a 12 month size fit perfectly. (See my cover photo) ☺️☺️ She was so much happier than with that silly cone. Good luck!!

Some people use a small t-shirt with the neck opening for the tail.  Some have used onesies.

I took off the cone of shame for my boy during the day because he was with me all the time for me to make sure he didn't mess with the incision. At night I put it back on. He was happy with that set up.

We used the comfy cone when we weren't at home. It's much nicer for them then the vet issued plastic lampshade :). When we were home I bought a pair of men's drawstring shorts from Walmart. I put them on him backwards so the drawstring was on his back and I cut in a tail hole. I tied the shorts tight and then looped the string through his collar as well. He was so good we only had to "short" him at night when we were all asleep. He looked cute too!
