I live in Massachusetts but also have a winter home in West Palm Beach Florida.  In January we will be driving to West Palm with our 2 ALD 's, Oliver 5.5 and Ivy 1.5.  I was wondering if there are any members in the West Palm area?

Hi Nancy, Maybe we will run into one another at one of the many rest stops along the way from Massachusetts to Florida. We drive down to the west coast every January with our two Australian labradoodles, Wally and Charlotte. Oliver and Ivy look very cute in your photo!

Hi Laurie....This will be our first time driving to West Palm.  We bought our home 3 years ago and we've been going back and forth during the winters.  My husband still works but owns his own business so he needs to go back and forth.  I am a stay at home Mom, although my youngest is 21 and a senior in college and my oldest is almost 25.  Neither live at home anymore so I thought I would try staying for the winter with my dogs.  This is be a test to see how it works, Oliver and Ivy are used to a large fenced in back yard.  Our house in West Palm has a small fenced yard, no grass, all patio.  But we have a beautiful dog park in our community.  Hopefully they will adjust, just in time for us to return back to MA...LOL!!   Ivy also gets car sick but I have had good luck with Rescue Remedy but we haven't been on any rides longer than 60 mins.  We plan on stopping every couple of hours, but depending on how Ivy does, it may be every hour :(  I'm assuming you stop overnight?  We were thinking North Carolina, do you have a recommendation for a pet friendly hotel??  Wally and Charlotte are beautiful, did they come from the same breeder?

We're in Delray Beach--perhaps we could meet up at the dog park sometime.

Oliver and Ivy would love to meet up!!!  I will send you a friend request and get back in touch with you. ~ Thank you :)

We are in Winter Park, FL a suburb of Orlando. I went to school in Boston and lived in Cambridge, Weston, and the Backbay. We have a condo in Miami Beach but I freaked about the Zika and have not visited.  Palm beach is one of my favorite placed in FL.  It is gorgeous there!  Central FL is turning into the land of doodles specifically Australian Labradoodles are taking over Winter Park.  They really are everywhere and I suspect it is like that in south florida as well.

Awww....We don't visit the West Coast at all, but if you are ever on the East Coast, definitely give me a shout.  I grew up in Waltham, which is near Weston and my son lives and works in Watertown which is near Cambridge.  I live about 40 miles west of Boston in Auburn, MA.  This will be my first time spending the entire winter in West Palm.  We usually go back and forth because my hubby works but my daughter recently moved out so we lost our dog sitter so we decided we would take the dogs with us.  I'm hoping they adjust for the few months.

Waltham? No kidding! I've went to Brandeis and Harvard.  My dorm @ Brandeis was right on South Street! I really miss Boston. I'm thinking about returning for grad school. Everywhere you go in Boston, you hear people talk about important things such as global hunger but here in FL people mostly complain about taxation. South FL is a bit different and probably a better part of FL IMO. Your doodles are adorable!

Ha Ha....I've attended college parties at Brandeis, way back in the day...LOL!!!  Waltham has changed dramatically, lots of trendy restaurants and bars.   I still have an aunt who lives there so I go every few weeks.  My son loves it out there, close enough to Boston, just an Uber ride in and out.  I'm sure you don't miss the cold and snow!!!  We come to Florida to get away from that.  Although, my pups will miss plowing through the fluffy white stuff.  Love your doodle too!!

Did you party in the Mods? That is one of the oldest resident halls. My family's neighbor also attended Brandeis and graduated in the late 70s. I heard they were planning to tear it down but I had such wonderful memories there.  I had enjoyed attending the upper classmen party there. I had graduated as they built the new science building. It looks great! I actually really miss the snow and how peaceful it is. I don't miss driving in it I got to admit ;)
