When I open a bag of my dood's food I pour it into a Vittles Vault to keep it fresh. I also wash this out between bags with hot soapy water.
The last bag I opened had dog food in it that looks shiny and oily. I didn't think much of it until I emptied the rest out of the vault into a smaller container that I dip out of daily.
The inside bottom of the vault has guite a bit of green oily residue. I took pictures of it and added it to this discussion.
This came from Petflow. They are sending me a new bag.
I was curious if this has happened to anyone else and what you thought it might be. They had almost the entire bag before I saw the bottom of the container.

Poor babies! They look so sad that their food is messed up :(   I have the same set-up with my airtight vittle vault and a smaller daily airtight container. Sorry this is happening.

The insides of the bags of all the better foods do always have some oiliness, it's unavoidable. What formula are you using?

Its Acana Wild Atlantic. I was concerned because there was so much residual left in the bottom of the Vittle Vault. It's always been just little dry crumbs. It's mainly the difference that concerns me.

Let's see what Champion has to say.

Maybe new facility, new formula issues, if your bag came from US. Annabelle eats the Orijen Six Fish and the last bag I bought was still from Canada with salmon.

Did you ever hear back from Champion??

I just opened a new bag of Acana's Wild Atlantic, made in their Kentucky facility, and there is no green residue (or any residue for that matter) on the inside of the bag.
