So, Orwell goes through times when all he wants to do is bite our legs or feet. Even when we sternly discipline him, he continues to do it and will bark and growl at us. I need help to improve this behavior… everyone is getting fed up with it.

That's all I really have to say about it… if anyone has specific questions about the behavior, feel free to ask. I just can't think of anything specific right now.

I have this PET CORRECTOR air spray -- very small -- which seems harmless and useful.

Thanks! I just tried doing a pinch...didn't work. I'm wearing the glove but she goes for my wrist. Last night after reading your note I began making hissing noises. They worked on and off. Can't fund my whistle, but she's playing tough so I try the kazoo....hmmm the comb's teeth are too close together...back to finding the whistle :(. As the pet corrector won't arrive right away.

Have you posted this issue in the Puppy Madness group?  Post as a discussion.  One of the ways mother dogs correct their puppies when they are too 'bitey' is to gently squeeze the muzzle with their mouth.  You can mimic this with your hand.  Encircle the muzzle firmly with your hand, squeeze gently while looking the pup in the eye and firmly say NO in a deeper voice.

The redirection method worked best with Orwell. If he was getting too mouthy, I'd just shove one of his toys in his mouth. If that didn't work, he went into a 5 minute time out to calm himself. Honestly, it seems like one day you wake up and the biting just stops... you'll get through it.
