Saw a couple of bald eagles this last weekend while biking! I so enjoy biking along the Columbia River. I was hoping for a blue sky - but they have been few and far between the last few weeks!

What kind of tree?

A month later and I just saw this! Yikes. I thought it was a chestnut tree, but a friend thought it was a Sweetgum. The leaves should be coming out now, I will check next time I bike that route!

The osprey are nesting and this male was sitting in a tree quite far from the female in the nest. I guess he it "on guard"! They make amazingly huge nests on platforms and they are always messy looking with strings and things hanging from them.
