I've had Bentley on Earthborn Holostic since he was a puppy. He's 4 years old. He can have a sensitive stomach which is why at one point I switched from the salmon to the lamb, as it has a lower protein count and he does fine on it. I am not looking to change but I got a hard sell this afternoon from a rep for Primal Freeze Dried raw food and was curious if anyone feeds it to their dog. They suggested that I even sprinkle some on his food. They were also trying to sell me goat's milk for the probiotic benefits and a frozen marrow bone? Any thoughts?

I would absolutely not give a dog with a sensitive stomach a marrow bone, frozen or otherwise. Nor would I give goat's milk or any other kind of milk, for several reasons. Goat's milk does not have enough probiotic strains or live cultures to be of much benefit, and doesn;t agree with a lot of dogs. You are much better off with a good probiotic like Proviable.
It's a mistake to take advice from the person who is selling the product, lol. Of course the primal salesperson recommended it. Primal is a good brand, but it's mega-expensive and isn't going to be of any benefit to your dog. If his current food is working, why switch?
that was my thought exactly which is why I knew I'd get a knowledgeable, unbiased answer here. I was also annoyed that I got such a hard sell. I love this particular pet store but I don't think it was right that they had this rep in there who wouldn't leave me alone.
Sometimes, the best approach is to be polite but direct: "Thank you, but I'm fine. If I need some help, I'll be sure to ask for it", and then turn away. :)
I'm such a wimp!! She caught me by surprise. I thought she was another shopper asking me a question.
