Macaroon's head tilt just suckers me in.  She is the cutest bundle of fluff.  Oreo's coloring, with those white toes and chin, is very special.

Carmela, a young Maltese-Poodle, was adopted today by a wonderfully loving lady.  We received an email from the new mom and Carmela has already bonded to her and is best friends with her new Min-Pin sister.  This is the good-bye picture I shot of Carmela,

Carmela had a hard start in life.  She had been thrown from a moving car and when we received her, she had a broken leg and a lesion on her shoulder from hitting the rod.

I know that it must have been a male who mistreated her because she was petrified of me when we received her. It took the longest time for me to earn her trust.  At first, when I was giving the dogs their nightly treat, Carmela would not come near me.  I would toss her the treat which she would miss and another dog would get the treat.  She learned that to get the treat, she had to approach me.  It first it was tentative and she would grab and run.  After the longest while she started to trust me a bit and then we became great buddies.  

It's a shame that we can't keep all the dogs we fall in love with.  But knowing that she has adjusted well both physically and emotionally and that she is now in a loving home is enough for me...
