Is this what is happening at your house and why I am not seeing many photos being posted in the Photography Group forum for Potential Calendar Photos?  Hmmm...I can relate...all I did was ask my girls for a simple smile...and this is what I get!  Honestly, I don't know what gets into them...

LOL! Priceless. I get good poses and expressions from Haley but no eyes. They are either closed or squinty. I guess that's his way of protesting.

Not only do I get the pouty face, I get movement and the "I am outa' here!" stare.  Ned might smile but you can't see his eyes!  Sigh.

I love your photo.

They do look serious!  Should add "no more photo sessions"

very cute photo. They are adorable even with the serious look.

My dog is great at giving me what I call the "rescue dog looking for a new home" attitude when i bring out the camera. She's immune to all of my tricks at this point.

Honestly the only way I get around it is to shoot her as she is moving. Technically it is more challenging, but way easier to get her happy look.

Here are two photos taken on the same day at the beach.
Happy beach Georgia:

And Georgia asking to be still for a photo:

LOL...I see what you mean...what a gorgeous face!

Wonderful photos. Georgia is simply gorgeous.  You can feel that she having such fun in the action shot.

Love your photos. Very very beautiful!

Oh fabulous!

I sometimes have a heck of a time getting Malcolm to look at me for a picture. I get side eye a lot lol.
