This is our little guy - 10 weeks today. We had 5th pick of 6 boys and I looked for the 'V' between his eyes (check!) but now realize he does not have the 'chrysanthemum.' We are hoping he will end up doodly but of course adore him no matter what his coat does. The receptionist at the vet insisted he had no poodle characteristics. He does have the curly tail. :)

Oh my goodness, I can almost guarantee that your adorable puppy will turn out to be Doodly! My friend and fellow DK member has a dog that looked very much like yours 6 years ago. Bailey was about 4 months old in this photo. You can see the more recent photos on her page that Bailey has turned out to be very Doodly. Bailey was actually the last puppy in her litter to be picked because most people thought she would not get that classic Doodle look. Good luck with your baby, he is precious!

Thank you so much! I haven't seen many puppies with the fluffy, straighter coat and clean muzzle so it is fun to see how others have grown. All of the puppies in our litter were precious - most had noticeable waves or the chrysanthemum around the nose. I think I read too many internet articles about picking a doodle puppy. :)

Here are two pictures of our Barnaby. The first is when he was about 11 weeks and the second when he was just about 6 months old. At first his coat was straight and was shedding quite a bit. But as time has gone by, his coat has progressively more curly and there is no noticeable shedding. Just give it time. Changes are bound to occur. :)

No shedding, how wonderful. My Cali is sheds big time and will be 1 year old in a week. I was hoping that once she lost her puppy coat, she wouldn't shed. But no luck. Still love her anyways.

Love her coloring! Chewie is shedding now - we'll see if it is just the puppy coat. :).

Chewie is absolutely adorable!!! We are wondering the same thing with our Hamilton. Here he is at 11 weeks!

The first 2 pics are of Marley at 8 weeks. He is all straight except for his ears. Last pic is today. He has quite the hybrid coat working. He does shed moderately.

Rosie Dog had a lot less hair on her cheeks  and her chin when she was that age. I think you would consider her to be Doodley lite, so I am sure he will be much more doodley than her. 

I am happy we have moved beyond "She looks like a retriever with a perm" to "Is she some sort of terrier" (the last one was a vet employee when we went in for her spay surgery).

Well, we have a doodle coat! What a change in 6 months. Shedding is moderate right now.
