This morning Yeti through up in his kennel. He has never done this before. I took him out and gave him some water when he came inside and about 5 minutes later he through up twice. We cleaned it up and went out to get some chicken and sweet potato and came home and he had thrown up two more times in his kennel. There weren't any chunks of kibble in it, and it was a yellowish color each time. I think we'll probably be making a trip to the vet tomorrow, but in the mean time I'm wondering if I should try to feed Yeti anything? I haven't done much research in this department because he's never had throw up issues. He eats wellness simple lid food and we put a little home made chicken broth in it to entice him to eat more. (Just boiled chicken water). I have no idea what he could have gotten into so of course I'm freaking out. Any insite is greatly appreciated :)

Thank you so much for the reply :)

I'm hoping that Yeti is doing better this morning, and there hasn't been anymore vomiting.  Having recently gone through another episode of Pancreatitis with my Guinness, I always worry about that with excessive vomiting.  I always find white meat chicken and rice to be the easiest on his stomach when he's having digestive issues.  Let us know how Yeti is doing.

Thank you so much! He hasn't thrown up in almost 14 hours!! We gave him boiled chicken and sweet potato (just a little incase he couldn't keep it down). He ended up being able to keep everything down and has been drinking plenty. It was very scary but I'm hoping he's okay.

We recently went through this and were advised by our vet to give white rice and pumpkin.  Remember too much pumpkin can go the other way due to it being high in fiber.  I usually give 1/2 cup of rice with a tablespoon of pumpkin and see how that goes.  Our Eli loves it!  (Eli is a mini and weighs 26 pounds for the quantity I give of each). Glad he seems better today.  Prayers it was just a fluke.

That's great news.

Stella throws up bile like this on occasion. The vet let us know that we needed to be feeding her more often (don't let too much time pass between feedings) because her stomach seems to overproduce bile. From time to time we give her a pepcid AC 10 minutes prior to her evening meal and this seems to help. She just turned six, fyi.

Susan, thanks for this info! Appreciate it.

Well, Yeti now has diarrhea :( I woke up to him crying to have to go potty and when we went outside he through up his dinner from last night. Sighhh I feel so horrible for my little guy

I'd definitely see what the vet has to say.

Hi there,

My pup Hank has literally gone through the same thing. He is 17 weeks. The vet said since it's happened twice after vaccines that it may be a reaction to that. He has stopped throwing up but still has diarrhea after he eats. The vet gave him fluids and a GI antibiotic. Poor little guy is so tired.
