we have rain all week and I’m talking about pouring rain...my question is how do you guys do it to take your dogs outside for potty breaks while it’s pouring down rain?

Boots, raincoats and umbrellas, lol. And lots of towels right inside the door.
GMTA, lol!
Both of mine have their own raincoats -- much easier for me that way.
I feel like what they really need is hip high rain boots!
I just got wet and had lots of towels inside the back door.
I have a12 week old puppy that’s is growing every week but I have thought about the rain boots
We invested in Soggy Doggy rugs and one Soggy Doggy towel. They really help pull the water off. If my girls have only been out long enough to potty the towel pulls the rain right off, but if they have been out longer I put them on their rugs for a bit. It has worked very well for us, generally I can just point at or say "rugs" and they go lay down. Polly dries fast but Meg has a double coat and getting her dry enough for the rest of the house takes a bit of work.
The Soggy Doggy mats and towels can be found on Amazon.
Thanks for the tip- I’m going to order one!
Found it on amazon! Thank you I usually don’t take him on leash since he follows me but with the rain he wants to jump in every puddle so we’re going ot with a leash and we have a covered patio with a towel and he sits and let’s me dry off his paws right before entering
Mostly I figure we are wash and wear and we will dry off. I don't live in an area where we get much rain, but when we are camping and I potty walk each dog separately, if it is raining, I use a swim coat leftover from my son's swimming/water polo days. I might use an umbrella or just put the hood up. If it isn't too cold, I wear flip flops. My dogs don't mind water at all so I just wipe them off when we get back inside. I have encountered dogs who hate water though and potty walking them in the rain can be a real battle of wills.
