Thanks, F.

Thanks, Nancy.

Thank you, Nancy.
Red Barn is a brand I have always stayed away from. Their sourcing is all over the place, and unfortunately they are so widely available, a LOT of people buy them.

There are a couple websites of which I'm on their notify list. They can be checked regularly for recalls and ratings. While I don't feed my dogs kibble, I like to be informed. I do keep Ziwi Peak on hand in case of an emergency but they've never tasted it. They are both worth checking out.

Kate, any time you see a recall, do post it here. Even if it’s a crummy brand. That helps others who don’t follow the recalls. Nice to see you back, BTW.

Between Nancy, myself, and a few others, we get pretty much all of the alerts on dog foods and treats. BTW, quite a few raw brands have been recalled, some quite recently, so this is not just about kibble.
I do follow Dog Food Advisor, but I personally have no use for Susan Thixton's information; I've seen too much misinformation from her over the years. Neither of these two people has any formal education or training in nutrition, canine or otherwise, but at least the DFA sticks to facts and posts his own biases on the site. And he doesn;t charge people for his information. Thixton has made a personal fortune out of tragedies, under the guise of "helping others."

Thanks, Nancy.

Milo's Kitchen again! Honestly, anyone who is still buying any Milo's Kitchen treats after all the hoopla with the chicken jerky isn't smart enough to have a dog.

Multiple Recalls.  I think Darwin was already on our list for recalls.

Important: This email alert includes 2 different recalls.

Blue Ridge Beef is recalling one lot of its BRB Complete raw frozen dog food due to possible contamination with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes.

Also...

Darwin's Natural Pet Products is recalling 4 lots of its raw dog food because they have tested positive for Salmonella and E. coli O128, bacteria that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.

Thanks, Nancy.
It's disturbing to see so many recalls for the raw products.
