Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
We celebrated my grandson's first birthday today --and this photo captured the moment when the dogs were begging to come back inside to be part of the party (they were only out for a brief potty break). I love the expressions on the faces of the doodles and Sullivan!! Mattie, on the left, is all business as a mature 11 year old while Rio in the middle is full of enthusiasm as is his momma, Lyric. Sullivan finds them enchanting!

This is ADORABLE.
I'm getting my puppy on Mother's Day & then my first grandchild will be born mid-August. Daughter, hubby & grandchild will be in town until at least May 2019 (she's in med school & that's her graduation date; no idea where she'll wind up for residency).
So pup will be 5 months old at the birth of grandchild & they will have 9 months to grow together. BLISS!
I will have 3 months to begin acclimating & trying to "calm" the pup before grandbaby arrives.
Daughter & hubby have an 8.5 year old miniature long-haired dachsund as well (but they fear that this one will not be so accommodating of all the newness. She didn't much care for my 13-year-old Golden Retriever, who was a complete marshmallow who didn't have an aggressive bone in his body!
Life will soon get very interesting.
Sure will! The good news is that by the time the baby is mobile, the pup will be much older--it is when they are walking around that puppies can be a problem--nipping is too easy when the kid is only two feet tall!
My son graduates from med school in May of 2019 also! Big day! Congrats to your daughter!
Good luck with the puppy!!
Congrats to your family. Where is your son in med School? We're here in NM & she's at the University of NM
UPSTATE IN SYRACUSE NY-- Also a state school--he is in the rural medicine program and for three months he is living with us completing his rotations here at our local hospital--it has been a treat for us.
What a small world. My husband did his family practice residency in Rochester; my daughter is in a rural medicine "focus group" here at UNM.
Congrats to all!
That is a coincidence!
Congrats on the PhD program - what field? I have another daughter getting her Masters in animal behavior.
Community Health, her research is on diabetes prevention and treatment. She would like to do more research using nonpharmacologic methods. She says applying for Grant money is stressful. She had her master's for 9 years and finally decided to go for the PhD. We are in Michigan, she goes to UofM. They are in the Final Four basketball tournament. Congratulations on your kids achievements.
That is great!
So cute!!!!!
