I have had lots of experience with trimming dogs and also with goldendoodles. I think the F1b goldendoodles are the very best dogs. They have a great disposition and coat. It looks like this dog may have a parti gene as most black and white goldendoodles have. The other thing is a phantom poodle. My sheepadoodle has a phantom poodle father and an OES mother. Look at the photos on my page to meet my doodles.
About trimming. I hold my hand over the eyes and trim across the nose and back to under the ears. Then I hold the hair on the topknot between two fingers and trim it to about 2 inches. The ears you can brush down and trim shorter to match the rest of the head. After you get the head done, she will look a lot neater. Having some treats handy and giving them out as called for also helps with my dogs. The poodle in them will let them stand for hours for grooming, but you start with a short time with a puppy and work up from there.
try having a friend put something yummy like peanut butter on a plastic lid or paper plate and hold it so the pup can lick it off--this will take a while and should give you time to do what Lynda suggests.
