Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hello. We are about to pick up our first ever English Goldendoodle. I was wondering if anyone has predictions on coat type based on her 7 week pictures. Also she weighs 12.5 pounds now at 7 weeks. Her parents are both around 65 pounds. Any ideas on how big she will get? I know there's no way to predict for sure. Maybe someone else on here has had a similar looking puppy. Thanks!

The attachments are 7 weeks. The one in the discussion is 5 weeks.

My girl had similar fur as a puppy and she has a wavy coat that gets a bit curlier as it gets longer. She sheds just a smidge.  That is a good sized puppy if it weighs that much at 7 weeks. My goldendoodle weighed 8 lbs when I brought her home at 8 weeks. She is now 14 months and weighs 60 lbs. Her vet says she may fill out a bit to 65 lbs as big dogs grow weight wise until about 18 months. Hope this helps and enjoy your puppy!

I was going to predict "fluffmonster" ;)  Not sure how accurate that is but that's how I picture this puppy growing up haha.

Maybe!? :)

Thanks! Your dog is beautiful!

I love the cream English Goldendoodles. They are so pretty. I have a mini, so no idea on weight.

My Wally was 12 pounds at 8 weeks and weighs 50 now as a fully grown adult.

Wow, Laurie I think that just goes to show that what they weigh as puppies really doesn't have an impact on final weight.  When I saw 12.5 lbs at 7 weeks I went and looked at AnnaBelle's weight because I thought that seemed like a lot for a 7 week puppy and figured it was going to be a big doodle.  AnnaBelle was just 5lbs 10 oz at 8 weeks when she came home and she is now about 65 lbs.  Then I saw Wally was 12 lbs at 8 weeks and is only 50 now ... These doodles, there is just no predicting anything ... Just like a box of chocolates, lol!

shes beautiful! Thanks for the response.
