Leg Hair Question

Hello everyone!

My doodle, Teddy, is finally beginning to doodle out. He's about to be five months, and his beard is growing in and coat is beginning to thicken. However, his legs still have short hair. He has the back furnishings like a retriever, but for some reason the front of his legs still have very short hair. Anyone experience this before?

What a doll- very handsome! He looks like he is going to have legs more like a retriever. My Bob looks very similar- straighter hair overall with wispy furnishings.

He's so cute :)

He seems to have more hair on his legs than Luna did at that age but not by much.  My guess is his legs will stay somewhat short with some "scruffy" bits. Adorable!

Here's Luna (a smooth goldendoodle) for comparison.  She was 6 months old in this pic.  As you can see she had none of the long hairs that Teddy has on the back of his legs.  She has a little feathering now (adult) but not even as much as Teddy has already.
