Many years ago, around 2007 Sophie was rescued by Second Chance Animal Rescue in Minnesota. She was blind and DoodleKisses helped to raise enough money to fix her eyesight. Sophie had a new lease on life and found her forever family with us as failed foster parents. She was here to welcome two beautiful children into our family and enjoy a wonderful life. Today we found out that Sophie has weeks to live with cancer that has spread through her body. Unfortunately she will not live to meet our third baby girl. At the age of 12 she has been in a calendar, lived on a lake, enjoyed many pontoon rides and has entertained us with her doodle antics. We have her on meds now to try and keep her comfortable, shrink the tumor, and improve her breathing while we try to enjoy just a little more time with her. Her presence in our family is irreplaceable and we are forever grateful to all of you at DoodleKisses & also Second Chance Animal Rescue.

We are devistated and can not imagine life without her.

So very sorry!  I hope these last days give you some peace.  She was well loved.

What a beautiful picture of Sophie!  I am so sorry and sending hugs to you and Sophie as you go through this heartbreaking time!  My heart aches for you.

I'm so sorry :(  A sudden cancer diagnosis is so hard.  We just went through it with Luna a few months ago.

Enjoy the precious little time you have with her, I'm thinking of you!

I'm so very sorry to hear this sad news.   I can only imagine your heartbreak.   May her last days be comfortable and days that you can pour your love onto her.

Sophie brought joy and felt love,, may your years of memories help you through this difficult time

Our thoughts are with you and your family.  So hard to say goodbye

I remember when Sophie came into your life. It seems like forever ago that you first fostered her and then she became a member of your family. You both got lucky. I bet it seems like the years have flown by. I can't imagine what you are feeling now having just learned such devastating news. If it's any comfort, please know that your DK friends have you in our thoughs.

I am so sorry to hear this. It's so heartbreaking when they have to leave us.

We are sorry to hear this, but we are happy that you provided her with such a beautiful and happy life. Sophie will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge like a good girl, and one day you will be reunited with her. Sending lots love!!!!

Such sad news but I hope your remaining time with her is a beautiful gift. You are in our prayers.
