Predictions for Danny--will he doodle?

Hi everyone!  I am the proud new mom of Danny, the Goldendoodle.  He is a first generation cross, but everyone thinks he is a Golden Retriever!  I am kind of hoping he will end up having some kind of doodle coat rather than a straight coat, so that the odds of shedding will be less (if that is even true?).  What do you all think?  To my eye he is showing some signs of at least being shaggy--he definitely has sweeps of hair over his eyes, a few teeny teeny tiny little tufts just starting on his muzzle in front of his eyes, and his ears were quite crimped when he came home, although they are less so now.  The hair on his back is also starting to stick up in all directions, although I am not sure if that means anything.  He is 10.5 weeks old today.  Thanks so much!  I am so happy to have found this forum!  Doodles are the best! :-)

Im sorry but your photos are not accessible so the only one I can see is your profile photo. Danny is adorable! If I have to make a guess, I do think he will get more of a fluffy Doodle face but just going off that one photos is tough. It is kind of small. I do think I see a fluffy Doodle in your future.

If you want to put photos into the conversation, you can load them using the 2nd button from the left that appears right above the box you type in. It says "image" if you hover your cursor over it and has what looks like a mountain in the box. Are your photos jpeg or a cell photo? Im not familiar with HEIC photos.

Oops--HEIC is an iPhone format.  I always forget to convert from it.  I changed them to JPEGs--hopefully that will work!  Thanks for your reply!!

Danny is so cute! Yes, I do believe he will get "doodly". He has fluff in between his eyes where my open face Doodle did not. I have two "fluffies" and one with the open face like a  Golden. There are a lot of photos on my page. They are all precious whether they are fluffy or not! Enjoy him!

Hi Rachel and Danny. Cute name!

I was able to see the photo's that you posted. He looks a lot like my McMurphy as a puppy. Danny definitely has facial furnishings and I would expect he will be a beautiful dog with long hair on and around his face. First pictures are my Murphy at 8 weeks and then at 10 months. His hair was slow to come in, but once it started growing it went crazy.

You're welcome. I used to come on here and on facebook trying to figure out what Murphy would look like. Everyone said he had the IC gene and that he probably wouldn't doodle. Now I have a hard time keeping up with his hair growth. I just cut him down. They are all so different. There is a good group on FB called Golden Doodle Lovers, I'm on there under Sharan Ann.
