We have friends looking for an ALD breeder in New England. Wally's breeder is no longer in business and Charlotte's doesn't have any current litters. Does anyone know of a breeder to recommend? Thanks!

Well, I guess there are some ALD people out there!  Harpo, our ALD, is a great little dog and Charlie (my husband) says he is perfect - perfect size, perfect coat, and perfect disposition.  It is hard to do better than this pup.

Welcome to the group. Two of my doodles are ALDs. If I were purchasing a puppy, multigenerational ALD from a reputable breeder is where my money would be spent. As Maryann said, ALDs have more predictability.

I have not been here in ages. Seamus is 13 and Katie is 10. Love seeing  your pictures!

Here is a photo of the ALD since this is an ALD site.

I just adore my ALD dogs.  Each was unique, but also similar.  ALD have enough generations behind them with a good breeder to become more predictable as to coat, temperment, size.  Murphy, at 18 months is everything I hoped for in what may be my last puppy.  Tigger, 10 years older, is equally loveable, yet entirely different in personality.

Looks like there has not been any action on this site for a while.  But us ALD owners are still out there and always happy to connect with someone new.  I have a 9-yr-old ALD, plus a 6-yr-old Jackapoo, and a 3-yr-old Sheepadoodle.  All are great dogs.

I don't think she is done growing but don't think she will be as big as the vet first believed 40-45 pounds.

I cannot believe Jypsy is 6 months old! She is beautiful and a bit smaller than Ned.
