Just wondering what everyone feels about the interactive toys they sell. I've been wanting to get the hide a squirrel for a while now, but haven't. I also noticed they sell a puzzle type dog toy with removable rings. Any feedback on how well your doodles like these toys and which ones are the best?

Great discussion! I do not have the hide a squirrel toy or any dog puzzles but would love to know how they work and how they got their doodles interested in them. At the moment I just use a treat dispenser ball and put a good portion of Lola's food in the ball. She will play with it until all the food is out. She goes crazy when it is out so I do not leave it out all the time.

Halas loves the hide a squirrel. He'll carry the whole thing around for awhile, and then he'll take all 3 squirrels out and carry all 3 around at once. I added a couple funny videos of him playing with his squirrels. Check out my page if you want to see them.

Love Love Love the videos... especially Halas throwing all the squirrels down the stairs. Oh the things our dogs do.

I got it at a little pet boutique store, but they might have it at Petsmart. I also saw it in the Drs. Foster and Smith catalog.

Leslie...those videos are too funny..Halas must be an exceptional doodle!
I've also seen them at JB Pet (online & catalog) and have been trying to purchase one a bit cheaper on Ebay. What size does Halas have? That's one thing that has held me back from buying one.....can't decide what size! Now they make a Jumbo size. I think the Large would be good for both mine...I guess?

Halas is quite the goofball. He makes me laugh every day. Halas has the large hide a squirrel, and it seems to be the right size. He's a mini (24 lbs), but he has no problem carrying the tree around. And no problem stuffing all 3 squirrels into his mouth at once. There's also a bee one and I think one other one. And you can buy a pack of replacement squirrels, which is good, since Halas' are already missing some legs.

Wally LOVES his Hide-A-Squirrel but in reality I think he prefers the squirrels that squeak over getting them out of the "tree". We also have the Hide-A-Ball and he only plays with the balls that squeak. He could squeak those things all day long! If you are interested in buying these toys be sure to Google and find the best price....I found there are VERY competitive prices online.
