Here in Southern Ontario we have literally lost all of our snow (which was significant) in a couple of days. Guess what? The resulting water had nowhere to go, so has created huge amounts of mud in the yard. Toby, of course, likes to play outside. In and out, in and out....and he's only six months old, so I don't like to say no, in case he actually has to pee. We have gone through so many towels in the last two days - I spread out a big one for him to stand on when he comes in, and wipe him with another. Sometimes it requires a basin of soapy water as well for his big old paws to get washed in. All in all, he's tolerating it well, and generally not fighting me on it, but it's getting old, fast. My son let him in last night without wiping him......this son will be cleaning the carpet for me today.

"sigh" I remember the days where I had clean floors. It was nice. And also, the way Toby indicates that he has to go in or out is to stand on his hind legs at the glass patio door. So the high water mark left by dirty paws is about 4 1/2 feet off the ground. It's impossible, currently, to keep that door clean. I'm constantly apologizing for it when people see it.

Does anyone out there have similar stuff going on right now? Is it muddy where you are? It is incredibly windy here today - up to 90 km/h, so maybe some of the water will dry up. We'll see.....

I just ordered this so I'll let you know!!
LOL....I used to feel your pain...still do on occasion, but with three dogs I've given up! :-)
Clean floors? ROFLMAO...what are clean floors?
What about the couch? :)
No dogs on couches here except in those rare circumstances I'm feeling 'weak' and they are sorta clean =) So like once every few months if that. What you see in my profile photo is RARE :-)
Oh yes - a total nightmare!!!!!! I'm actually praying for snow if you can believe it? No mud then at least!!
We here in New Jersey had that horrible wind also !!! Zazu loves to walk in the water/mud/snow whenever she finds it....if it's there...she's in it.....but she's a mini (25 pounds), so my pain is not soooo great !!! We just do the towel thing also..and make a game of it..so that's her reward for playing in water/mud/snow.....Good Luck !!
