Bragging on my boy...selected as "Cutest Dog" at Mardi Gras dog walk

I'm so proud of Sidiqi! There were lots of very cute dogs at the Mardi Gras dog walk here in Georgetown, TX, but the judges selected Sidiqi as the Cutest Dog. I overheard one of the judges say to the other, "I'm not supposed to consider costumes for this category, but even without that costume, I have to give it to him." Then she asked Sidiqi to come to the center of the circle, and she proclaimed him the winner. He promptly jumped up and, wriggling with happiness, licked her face. And then he started wrestling with a corgi. :) We had so much fun!

Too cute! Those doods are just too adorable to pass up. We took Buddy to his first mardi gras parade a few weeks ago, and there was not a "contest", but he did make the front page of the local paper the next day. There were lots of other adorable dogs there, but doodles always steal the show!

We were asked to leave the Slidell parade a couple of weeks later (animal control) even though he was leashed AND in the bed of the truck on the parade route. I was surprised, as he has been to every MG function this year. Guess we won't be going back to that one - it's a $500 fine if you don't leave when animal control tells you to.
