I have been looking at puppies for months now. Even fell head over heels in love with fergie11's Rudy! But I alrealy have 2 dogs!! Is it just spring fever or can I take on the challenge of another gorgeous, loveable, fantastic doodle. P.S. MY KIDS ARE ALL IN SCHOOL ALL DAY LONG NOW!
Hi Brenda - This is Fergie11. Thank you so much for the compliment. Rudy is really adorable. I'm happy with the outcome of that but I really miss him. I found a great home for him in my same town. I sent him off Tuesday morning and I couldn't sleep the first night. I talked to new mom today and they are absolutely loving him. He's almost all housebroke for them so that is very nice. I think if you have the time, $$$$, patience - go for three. You can't have to many. I'm going to pick out the puppy I had on hold on Wed. Then I'll have two. My DH won't let me go for 3 - but if anything happens with Rudy now, he's mine. We will have 3. These truly are loveable dogs. Obama is missing out.
I'm so glad Rudy has a great home and yes I was in love with him!! I'm glad there is a back up plan if it should not work out. I hope his new mom will post on DK with pixs and also you with your new pup. Thanks so much with the update ~ Brenda
I know how you feel I would love to get another doodle we have 2 already=) My next will have to be a choc. for sure!! The question is can I handle 3 doodles and 2 kids????? I have been looking at a choc. 5 month old puppy for sale he's a dream!! Yes my friends think I'm CRAZY..........oh well.....so yes I think we have doodle fever lol......
We have three dogs in our house and it's fine - but both of the older dogs were 6-7 years old when we got our doodle puppy. He annoyed his older "sisters" and they played with him and it was no problem. They all get along and it's fun to watch the relationships that have developed among the three.
Since Zena and Ginger were older when we got Casey, training wasn't so much of an issue because the two older dogs were already trained and could help teach the puppy. (They also taught him some naughty stuff, but I guess that's what older sisters are for.) ; )
I must say, when my parents come with their goldendoodle, having FOUR dogs in the house is just one too many.
