Sage is nearly 9 months and she is really getting into doing a polite greeting. She sits right down for a hello when I come downstairs in the morning. Quivering with excitement and her tail going a mile a minute. But she is sitting down! YAY SAGE!!! I'm so proud of her. It can't be easy.
Anyone else having good results with that command?

Lucy is four months old and she still looks for a treat to sit. We don't crate at night we never have with any of our pets. Is that a mistake? We crate when we leave her alone and that has worked out well.
Sage is crated at night. She loves being in her crate. I don't know if that makes a differece or not. The polite greeting is
A sit and I've told her sit in the past. But now she does it pretty automatically. I think Lucy is right on schedule!!
Sage is actually already out of her crate because our daughter lets her out on the morning. So she is coming over and sitting for a hello and some loving.
That's great!!! Zeke 11months & Lily 9 1/2 months still get so excited sometimes they jump. Most of the time they circle around all wiggles and wags and sometimes even get a toy to bring to you trying very hard not to jump. The sitting for a hello sounds wonderful! Looking forward to working toward that. Way to go Sage!
Hi Susan and Zeke and Lily. They do get excited that is for sure. It's a good thing to have them be able to sit for hello- Sage's breeder says her dogs line up at the door when a visitor comes. I think that is terrific!
Willy sits or is laying down and with his head up and tail thumping when he see's me in them morning when he meets other people I have him sit to be petted he is doing pretty good, or he goes by people's side to be petted He loves those ears being scratched
