alley chewed up a bottle of tranqulizers and i had to rush her to the vet. they made her throw up with plain perxoide. sure enough 15 green pills were there. just to let you know if anyones dog eats something toxic peroxide makes them throw up. she is fine now.alley and marcia

Oh how very scary Marcia! Glad she is okay now.
But on a side note, ALWAYS call your vet before giving peroxide... With some things it is better to NOT induce vomiting so always call the vet or emergency vet first.

Wow, this must have been such a scary situation and I'm glad she is OK. I can offer a funny story though to cheer you up. My sister was taking tylenol 3's for some dental work pain. She dropped one of them on the floor and was sure that her dog Taffey had swallowed it. She called the vet and they told her to induce vomiting by pouring several tablespoons of peroxide deep into her throat to make sure she swallowed it. Her dog at this point was enjoying an afternoon nap in the familyroom. They grabbed the poor dog, and woke her up with nice hit of peroxide being forced down her throat. She vomited and vomited, wretching terribly but kept looking at them as if to say" why did you do this to me? A few minutes later, they found the untouched pill under something in the kitchen!!!! The poor dog was exhausted and slept for the rest of the day and of course was spoiled rotten for the next few days.
