Merciful heavens - what to do with a bouncy dog on a very rainy day!!

I usually walk Toby morning, noon, and night. Well, hubby does the night one, but that's three half hour walks a day. Today it is POURING. We cannot go for a walk. Toby is annoyed, mischievous, bouncy, irritated, etc. What on earth can I do with him? Again - my idea for an indoor dog park seems good..... :)

How about a second pup??? My two wear themselves out wrestling, heavy breathing after a ten minute round :)
Oh my goodness. I cannot even fathom a second pup. Toby was a very nippy puppy - I'm just happy he's growing up.
LOL Buddy was too, but not my second one. She was only nippy with Buddy :)
I have a Petsmart nearby. I load Lucy in the car and go for an outing. She meets other dogs in the store and sniffs every corner. I then take her for a doggie ice cream and home. We both get out and have fun. People are drawn to doodles and I've had many an interesting conversation in the pet store. I also take her to Petco.I like them both and so does Lucy.
That is a good idea too, but we took Toby to Petsmart once, and he was freaked out. He didn't like the lighting and the slippery floors. He is a persnickety dog. :)
We went for walks at Petco, Petsmart, Lowes or Home Depot, I also tried 1/2 day of daycare if we were in more then 3 days, this worked well. We now have 2 and they don't entertained as much.
Lowes and Home Depot allow dogs in????
Some do...We have 2 of each locally. I don't think Lowes as a company allows you to unless your dog is a service dog. Our local stores don't stop us. We never stop to let people pet them in an area the can cause congestion.
We've gone to Home Depot for training too. I didn't ask...just walked in and nobody minded and lots were curious and some complimented us on our training. Later I asked a good friend of ours who works there if dogs are ok...he said 'NO' but I figured if we didn't hurt anyone and nobody enforced this rule we'd be ok. We didn't go too many times after that. Lowes has more stores that individually are ok with dogs. Might as well ask.
We never asked either. The only problem we have is most sections we walk through has someone who has treats.
Huh, Canada is anti-dog I think, you can hardly take them anywhere!! I have seen small dogs in Home Depot, but I assumed that was because small dog owners seem to think they can take their doogs wherever they like anyway. It is harder when your dog is over 70 pounds!!! Maybe we should be bold and try it and see what they say!!!
Oh yes, Toby likes the rain. It's me that didn't want to go out in the rain - but the clouds broke and we got a chance to walk. He traipsed through every puddle, and drank out of mud puddles. It was lovely. :)
