Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I know the doodle is a great family dog but my dog is more attached to one member of the family-me. If I'm not awake yet and everyone else is up and about, my doodle will stay in the bedroom until I get up. If I move from a room, my doodle will follow me. If I'm on the computer and other people are home, guess where my doodle is-laying at my feet. I just wondered if this is characteristic of other people's doodle's also. I love it because I'm just as attached to him as he is to me but when my children want Lucky to sleep with them he will not have it and the kids feelings are hurt.

I think thats so neat that she picked you out!
I am the MOM and the dogs know that Moms are the bomb!!! They are the protectors of all time so.... That being said - I am the bottom line for my guys if they are scared or threatened in any way. Now, other than that they have favorite people and it has changed over time depending on how much attention that person has time to give them.
Pebbles is constantly at my side and if I move so does she. She is happy to be with my girls and will happily follow them if they are the only ones in the house. With my boyfriend she is not the same she is happy for him to let her out etc if none of us girls are around but doesn't follow him about. She is definately my dog and this really bugs my boyfriend. Still he is gradually getting over it. I love her to pieces........
Max is definitely my Doodle. If my husband is awake in the middle of the night, he sleeps in the evening, watching TV or something and Max has to go out...he wakes me up!!! Drives me crazy! I get together with my girlfriend every other Thursday night for "Beer N' B*******" for a couple of hours and Max stays by the front door until I get home. I think he would rather deal with me because I'm the softy, oh and I do everything for him! :) Can't help it though I love that cute face!
