My Misty, who will be 6 months old tomorrow, was spayed on March 9th and she hasn't been herself since. She went in at 40 lbs. and she's already down to 35 lbs. She's lethargic and throwing up (not as much now, as before) She also isn't eating her dog food at all. She'll eat other stuff we give her, but sometimes she even refuses steak. She hasn't had a bowel movement since Monday (4 days ago). The vet has been monitoring her and he's giving her shots of antibiotic every 2 days. I'm starting to wonder if she has some sort of allergic reaction to the antibiotic. I'm so worried about her. Has anyone dealt with this, in the past, with their baby girl? I just want to see her get excited about something.

Wow, I am so sorry Karen! I was wondering how she was doing, I really hope she pulls through this, poor Misty. My thoughts and prayers are with you!
Oh Karen, I'm so sorry. I'll be thinking about you guys...she's a strong little gal!!!!
Karen,

I am so sorry to hear that Misty is battling kidney failure. My thoughts and prayers are for news of her full recovery.
I just left my beautiful Truffles at the vet....also renal failure...presently getting her first IV fluids....I will have to give her iv fluid daily x 1 mth., 250 cc ...then back to vets for labs.....I think today I cried a bucket of tears.... My girl is 8 yrs old...no more treats, no more dog food....as per my vet give her table food....Any others have this experience.
Has anyone gone through this with their doodle.....I hate seeing her so weak.....yet still wanting to be faithful....it's ripping my heart out....I love this fog so much.❤️❤️❤️Please keep her in your prayers.

I've never gone through this Mary, but I know it's heartbreaking to watch your much beloved dog sick!  Know that Truffles is in my thoughts and prayers!

Thank you....my girl needs a prayer chain...but she will get better....I hope. ❤️❤️❤️
Prayers for your girl. This isn't exactly the same, but we had a senior cat who developed renal failure and we gave him sub-q fluids twice a week for over a year...and I think that he would have kept going except that he developed cancer.....but his kidney values remained good with the sub-q's the whole time we were doing that. She will do well with all your attention and care. Hugs
