Doodle Romps in Northern VA????

Hey Diane. We have had several romps in the NoVA,DC,MD area over the last year. Andrea Payne (DK member from Alexandria) organized a outdoor one last august at a nice dogpark in the Claradon area of Arlington. She also had 2 indoor ones recently at a place in Vienna. Hopefully with the weather getting nice again we can try to have some more. I would like to host another in Waldorf. Also there a large doodle group in Annapolis area that has a romp every month in Annapolis. Are there any good dog parks in the Woodbridge area? If so I'm sure everyone would come down your way.

Thanks for the response. We have a great dog park in Burke/Springfield area, where we just moved from. Do you have to rent dog parks? I just go there, and don't know much about creating a dog party there. Thanks!

Everywhere we've met up for outdoor romps were public dog parks. All we did was go to a section of it and hang out as a group. Anyone was welcome to join in though. When I hosted the one down here I just put up some signs and added directions to the announcement. One big thing is to let everyone know if water is available there or do you need to bring your own. I checked out Fairfax Countys website. Is the park you mentioned South Run on Reservation Drive?

Yes it is South Run. I big dog park. It is mostly dirt though, very little grass, so if you don't want you dogs to get dirty, it is not a good place! Yes it has water.
