Unusual Poodle Mixes in Texas Rescues

I was looking to see what doodles are near me, as usual, none. But some neato ones in Texas:

Now, I am not advocating the purposeful breeding of all breeds with poodles, but these dogs are there, they need homes and if anyone wants an unusual mutt...they may be cute!

Caution to anyone interested in the Afghan-poo: Afghan Hounds come in dead last on most lists of dog intelligence. They are notoriously difficult to housebreak or train, so much so that in-home professional trainers are usually required. Of course, mixing them with poodles may make them slightly smarter.

Yep...either dumb or at best stubborn. Though I met an owner who managed to put a CD on her Afghan. Also used to correspond with a woman on a training board who bred and showed afghans. She said that strangely enough despite the small number of foundation stock...they are really healthy and don't suffer from much as a breed. So perhaps TRUE hybrid vigor might come from afghans crossed with various breeds rather than poodles ... LOL
