Hi,
I need some advice...! I have a almost 7 month old spayed female F1B Labradoodle.....! I am thinking about getting a 5 month old neutered Labradoodle for a playmate...!
I would love any information from experience and knowledge if this would be a good thing...is it better with 2, or just more trouble..?
Thanks SO much for any input.....!
I have two puppies. They are 4 months and 6 months. The are different breeds. I don't think
I would ever do that again. Yes they do have each other to play with, but I have notice that they
both want attention at the same time. If I'm loving on one of them, then the other wants love right
now. Someone told me that they will bond to each other, and making it harder to train, as they
want really want to pleasue you. Time will tell with my group! Good Luck!
Yes, that is what my gut is telling me.....My 7 month old, and I do have a good connection, and I was wondering if that would change if I brought another doodle into the house......
This is a link to a video I uploaded to Youtube. It was too big to do on here. You can see in the video how well our Doods play together and how entertaining they are!
We have 2 GD's that are 9 months old. Somedays I think I wouldn't have it any other way. Other days, I wonder, "What were we thinking!!" I would say my biggest gripes would be extra cost involved and also it is harder to train with 2 of them. When you are trying to teach one of them a trick or even with trying to brush them, the other one will undoubtedly want to get involved and end any session you have going. It can be so frustrating. But for the most part, the extra love you get back makes up for all the negatives.
I think that also....I did decide on getting that "2nd" doodle...I just think my Kodie girl would be a lot happier...it may cost twice as much...but, also twice as much love and fun! Thanks for your comment....!
Hi Marcia,
I have 2 doods, mother and daughter, they are hilarious. We love to watch them wrestle and tease each other. They play tag all of the time and run and hide behind us when they are chasing each other. Yes the training is more work and yes the cost is more, but the laughs and fun are priceless!
We got a kitten for our Doodleboy Toby when he was a year old. They are best friends! See pic of them together on my page. Not everyone likes cats, but we have a very special realationship here in our house! The play together, sleep cuddled up, lick each other. When Toby runs in the back yard, kitty Gabe runs along the inside screen with him. It is fun to watch and not quite the commotion of two dogs. Toby has even taught Gabe to run to the front door when the bell rings!
