What do you think of the new feature???

Hi Everyone,

Can you see the new "Who's Online?" feature? You can type in a message in the "Shout Message" box underneath the photos that slide across the screen. You can ONLY be seen by members who are logged in. So outsiders will not see you as "online."

What do you think of it? Helpful, useful, fun? Or annoying, not so useful? does it slow things down? Would you rather NOT show that you're online?

You can click the X and turn it off and turn it back on by clicking "Who's Online?" under the little box that says "Hello, Your Name!"

Let me know if we should keep it or drop it! Seriously...if you HATE seeing yourself up there...send me a private message. There is no current option to opt out of being "seen."

I like it - but there should be an option so you can elect not to be shown online.

That's not possible yet, but if someone were looking for you...all they'd have to do is got o your page and see whether or not you are online by the little green light under your profile photo.

Ha, ha, Andy, (Boomer, Shayna, Mariner), I had the same shock of seeing myself loom up large on the main screen! It's rather embarrassing that everyone can see what a sad life I lead and how long I spend on DoodleKisses! It makes me think - maybe I should get off line now - not good! Plus, the comment stands until you type something new in, so once in, you're in. You cannot delete a comment.

Well if enough folks do NOT want to be seen up there...it doesn't bother me to remove it. This is a trial...so if enough people think ... neah...get rid of it I won't be hurt. LOL.

Keep in mind though that some people are logged on all day even if they are not physically online... They just log on to their favorite places, and go about their day and stop in now and then to see what's up. I think I'm logged on practically 24 hours a day, but I really do sleep!

I understand. If ANYONE who wants to remain anonymous really really dislikes the Who's Online feature, please send me a private message. If enough people would rather get rid of it, I will =)

Hmmm...that's too bad. I will leave it on a few more days, as I want a few more responses, but may take it off for a while until more things can be worked out with it. I hate to have anyone stay away because they can be seen as 'online.' It's no skin off my back though...it's not my creation so no hurt feelings =)

That is what I do, I am always logged on rather I am truely on or not:) But, I REALLY DO have a life:)

I thought about that for me because I never "log off" doodlekisses.
I don't mind it, it is kinda cool to when the heavy traffic times are.
