Only a gd walks like a gd! I recognize the horselike canter/trot a mile away. I ran into a woman with a large gd yesterday and did the customary :
Me: "Is that a goldendoodle"
Her: "Yes how did you know"..."Oh you have goldendoodle!"
Me: Yes she is just a pup, and only goldendoodle looks like a goldendoodle - I mean what else could it be"
Her: Ya I recognize goldendoodles a mile away!"
Me: Me too! Arent they the cutest! What a great walk they have.
Her and Me ....20 more minutes of gd bragging and comparing notes -lol

I know what you mean. When Toby is walking well, he knows it, and he gets his "prance on". It's so cute, and something only they do I think. :)

When I tell them that Toby is a Goldendoodle, I always get "But he's black!". Yes, he is. Good observation. :)

So true, that prance and the tail held high, that's what I love:) they are so regal...in a scruffy sort of way!! We also get the..goldendoodle "designer" dog snub. I say...what an incredible combination. In fact the more people we meet the more ask about the breed and our breeder.
