Those of you with multiple dogs...can you distinguish between barks, slurps, etc?

I can tell almost with 100% certainty whether it's Rosco, Thule, or Cass that's barking. They each have their own unique sound and style. I can even, usually, tell whose drinking out of their buddy bowls!

Hard to describe, but very distinct!

Definitely can tell who's bark is whose......Jonah's is deep and woofey, Miko's short and sharp......Rumor's right in the Middle. Usually can tell the drinking also, Jonah mostly sips and absorbs water through his beard. Miko is the loudest, Rumor the messiest!

Absolutely you can tell the difference between the barks. You can tell whose drinking and eating. The sound they make when they walk is distinctive. You can even tell who is who by just listening to their breathing. In the dark by listening you can tell where each one is.

Yup, me too. My dogs are very different in size, so I'm sure that helps in distinguishing between my dogs:)

I agree, I can who is walking around at night by the jingle of their collars.
Jordan has a very low bark and growl, she is a loud eater and drinker. I always say it is the Lab in her.
Payton's bark is ear splitting loud, and a faster cadence.(Slightly crazed) he is very soft when he walks and eats. Payton is very graceful in his actions, unlike Jordan's Lab like flopping and bumbling.

Cooper's bark is MUCH deeper than Calli's, but thankfully, neither bark much at all. In fact, we often jump when one of them does bark! It's such a lovely contrast to our Cocker Spaniels we used to have (they barked ALL THE TIME AT ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!!!! We do miss them terribly-- but not the barking!).

When we hear a tail thumping, we know it's Cooper. If one of them wakes us up at night breathing in our face, we know it's Calli! When one is eating and we hear food dropping out of their mouth onto the floor, we know it's Cooper-- he's a slob!!!
