My friends Jack Russel almost died yesterday after eating grapes. The kids had a picnic on the deck and Chloe who had never bothered with such spillage before must have eaten grapes. My friend found her laying on the chair shaking with water pouring from her nose, and mouth and her tummy was hard and bloated, as soon as she picked up the dog to move her Chloe literally exploded diahrea and kept heaving and pooping while shaking and stumbling. She thought that was the end of her. Very Scary! Today she is on the mend.

OMG, hope the dog is OK. You never know what kids might drop and our dogs might pick up.
I dont know --- but it couldnt been more than a few grapes. My guess is more than 1 but less than 5. The kids were sitting and eating but a couple probably got dropped or rolled away. Enough to make both my friend and I make sure that grapes are eaten totally out of reach of dogs from now on. Chloe is a small dog so I am sure her reaction was severe based on her size. Had a lab eaten the same amount probably not as bad. But it seriously looked to her like poor Chloe was a gonner.
So glad she is going to be OK. I read that on a list of things not give a dog. It was right up there with chocolate.
Awww! Poor baby. I feel for the family too. Something so innocent as a fun picnic turned a little sour (no pun intended).

I'm happy that JR is doing better.
Thank goodness... the poor thing is going to be Okay.
How horrible and what a close call. My brothers dog was "fed" olives by some of my nephews friends after school one day. He swelled up everywhere and had to be rushed over to the vet and had to spend the night under observation after several shots of benedryl or whatever they used.
I am so glad for your last sentence.
Wow, close call! Glad she's on the mend.
