Are there any out there? My doodle loves her soft toys, but (disembowels) them within hours. Of course I pick up the stuffing and squeakers right away so she doesn't eat them. She is now carrying around and old (once stuffed) rag that used to be a cute little frog. She loves it though. Are there any stuffed hardy toys that anyone can recommend? Thank you Deanna and Mango

Thank you, I will try those. There is a Stein-Mart very close by. I always check their dog section, they have cute things, haven't noticed toys but that doesn't mean there not there or they might get some in. If not I'll go to Petsmart.
We haven't found a stuffed toy yet that Halas can't or won't destroy. But we have had better luck with the No Stuffing stuffed toys. He will still tear them sometimes, but at least there's not giant balls of fluff everywhere after that. There is a line of stuffed toys called Tuffies, but Halas was able to destroy one of those that was rated a 7 out of 10 on the toughness scale. And they have a ton of stuffing in there, so once they start pulling that stuffing out, it will be everywhere. Halas also likes to play with the leftover carcasses of the ones he destuffs, so we have quite a few dead stuffed animals laying around. Oh, I almost forgot...We have a dragon from a company called Go Dog. It's head and tail are stuffed, but the body is basically empty, except for some crinkly paper and a squeaker. It has a special liner that's supposed to make it harder to tear up. It's not indestructible by any means, but it holds up a little better than a normal stuffed toy. Halas destroyed one, but I think that's because it was pink. His new blue one is still in one piece.
Do you buy the Go dog Dragon on-line or did you buy it at a local Pet Shop?
His first one was from Three Dog Bakery. His 2nd one is from PetsMart. But I'm sure you can get them on-line, too.
Oh there is a three dog bakery not too far away, Ive never been but will make a point of it now. Can dogs go inside the bakery? I'd rather just go out and buy one and not have to wait, even though I love to shop on-line as well! BTW your Halas is beautiful. I notice you say he's small, what size is he? Mine is only around 19 1/2 pounds and full of fur. She lightened up considerably though, she was bright orange when we got her and now is more golden with orange tips. I just love these dogs.
I think dogs on a leash can probably go into 3DB. I didn't have my dog with me when I went, though, so I'm not sure. Thanks for your comments about Halas. He's about 26 lbs now, and he'll be 2 years old on September 1. He has a lot of fur, too, but it's less than it was a couple of months ago. In April, I had his 8-inch coat cut down to about 3 inches. Halas has lightened some in color, and a lot of hi-lites have come out, but he's still basically red. It looks like your Mango also has a lot of really light hi-lites. Enjoy your puppy time. Doodles are pretty smart, too, so you'll have a blast in obedience, etc.
Finally found the Go Dog Dragon at Petsmart. Guess they've been out of them, I know three dog bakery was the last two times I went there. ( I do love that store though ). Well she is so happy with her new pink Dragon and instantly played with it and has not let it out of her sight. She's actually asleep now with her head on it. (very cute). Hoping she will not destroy it too soon. Thanks for the tip.
Mine are master destroyers, too.....I am going to go find that dragon from Go Dog....sounds like a winner (in blue, of course)
I know, within 15 minutes the little felt eyes were gone. Now she just carries aroud the rag carcass and chews on it. Funny little thing.
Yankee has destroyed every toy that I have bought. Even the non stuffed ones are shredded and there are little fur pieces everywhere. He still plays with the pieces. He takes the cover off tennis balls, they are all naked.

He actually has a construction helmet that he brought home and has been chewing that in the back yard for weeks. I don't think there is such a thing as an indestructible dog toy.

This is too cute. " Mommy, I want to be a worker-man when I grow up. I am just sizing the helmet up so that it fits better."
I don't think they exist! Some dogs favor one particular stuffed toy and kind of carry it with them without killing it...but I wonder sometimes why they are even made...since most get destroyed so quickly. I gave up on soft toys long ago and stick with rubber toys mostly. I like nylabones, sterilized real bones, and these:

Also some of the rubber chickens with squeakers -- but ONLY the kind without stuffing inside.
