I saw the earlier discussion on coat types, and I have no idea what any of them mean! Wiry, fleece, wool, soft, absolutely no idea. My breeder says Madden will have a long soft coat. A random person said she will have a wiry, straight to low wave coat. Of course she does not know my dogs parents so that was just her guess. Even still, I dont get the lingo... and I have no idea what to expect when she grows up! So if you get what this means I would love to hear it!
Awesomeness! Thanks for asking the question! I wanted to know, too, but just figured I'd wait and see. Both of our babies are adorable, regardless, but good to have an idea! =0)
Ya I've been dying to know what kind of coat she has. If she doesn't have the fuzzy coat like I wanted then oh well, she is still an amazing and adorable dog. I couldn't ask for anything better. Also how smart is Angel? I can't believe how much Madden knows. She's proficient with sit, stay, down, come, leave it, and stand. It's crazy! And she's potty trained
Angel is brilliant, scary brilliant! But not in the sit, stay, etc. way. In the get-what-I-want way. She only does sit, stay, etc. when I have both treats and clicker in hand. And then she does them like a pro! But if I don't have treats in hand, I actually see her giving my hand the once over and if there's no treat, she does what she wants. lol! We'll keep working on training though.
I guess i'll just never understand how people buy a doodle with the coat type they want. Especially since the baby coat may be nothing like the adult coat. And by the sounds of it, an F1 can pretty much get any coat under the sun.
What if our doodles had wrinkles and curls? That would make them a bigger grooming challenge than they already are. It probably wouldn't even be that easy to shave them. It would just grow into long, wrinkley dreadlocks like pic #4.
