Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I have read through most of the discussions about brushes in this group. From what I've seen, I'm leaning towards a CC brush. Several people said that Les Pooches brushes scratch but the CC brushes do not. People have asked what to use for matts or specific types of coats. I just want a decent everyday brush to use on my doods. SO, which is it?

I'm by no means an expert on brushes but I just got the CC 16mm T-Brush and I love it!! It goes through the fur easily, doesn't yank and my 5-month-old puppy doesn't mind having her fur brushed with it at all. I can even brush her head and face with it. It's so much better than the slicker and pin brushes I used to have. I heard that the Les Pooches brushes are good, too, it seems that both brands have very high quality brushes. Good luck!!
Les Poochs hands down. They do not scratch if used properly. You should only brush as hard as you can on your own skin. They take very little pressure to use. You brush by lifting the coat and brushing underneath, then comb before moving to the next layer. Make sure all the tynes are on the coat at one time. If you use a corner, you will scratch. The brushes do the work, not your muscles...very good for long grooming sessions.
I agree with Barb - Les Pooch if you are going to choose one. The brush does all the work.
