Hi. I hadn't noticed before, but for the past two days it's been raining. And now, the yard smells like a porta-potty. I know others let their dogs go in the yard. So how do you avoid and correct the stinky yard, especially with pinestraw?

Thanks.

We have three dogs and they all go in our yard. I don't notice any stink though unless I'm near the trashcan into which I shovel their poo. In the summer it's fabulous because the sun bakes it dry (mostly) and it's easy to pick up. But even in the spring or winter I can't say I smell much. Probably depends on the size of your yard and how close together all the poos are...?
It's the pee that stinks. I always pick up the poo, if not right away then daily.
I see...I was thinking poop.
Pee on pinestraw sounds like it could very well hold smell. Is the pinestraw just in her pee area or in the whole yard?
Whole yard. Or at least was. It's now mostly at the bottom as Angel likes to run/roll down the hill when she gets the zoomies, thus pushing the pinestraw with her...
I thought it was male dog's urine that smells strong....
I had to keep Butter from peeing in the yard, because his pee smells. But Charlie's pee does not smell....
That's why I thought it is male dog urine... Ummm I guess not.
I think it must be the pinestraw that is causing the yard to stink. Lawns with grass won't smell from urine. Maybe there are some alternative forms of ground cover that you could explore (maybe bark?)
