Astro was neutered yesterday and his release instructions are...please sit down...3 days of confinement or very limited movement and 14 days of taking it very easy, leash walking and wearing a lamp shade. Ha! I think in DoodleWorld this is truly impossible. We have not even made it through the first 12 hours and he has jumped over the gate, jumped on the bed and rolled like a maniac in the grass and tried to chase the cat. REALLY 14 days of the lamp shade? Help!

LOL LOL LOL Love the idea of the boxer shorts. Can't imagine what that would be like. Lucy would have those off in minutes. When she was spayed, I bought that stupid thing (lampshade), put it on her when we got home and she immediately put her head down and WOULD NOT move. She was sooooooo imbarassed !!!!!!!!!! She then started walking around and just ran into everything. I took it off her about just as fast as I put it on her. I just watched her and she never bothered her incision. He will be fine.
That describes Toby in the lampshade to a "t". I put a small men's muscle shirt on him, backwards, and tied it on top of his body. It worked great. Pictures are on my page.... :)
OK, OK, I did the boxer shorts. Probably a boy's medium, then cut a hole for the tail or put them on backwards. I preferred to cut a hole just the right size. Yankee won't like this but here's a picture.

THANK YOU, Linda! I needed these instructions. Thank You, Yankee!
I have one more question. No I am NOT joking. Don't you need 2 holes here? Give me some more hints on this one Yankee. Please.

Thank you for letting us take up this space for more post-neutering advice, Yvonne. I hope all goes well with Astro, I will be right with you in this experience this week.
No, didn't need two holes. The waist of these boxers sat just below the rocket. Glad to help.

Yankee was miserable with the cone.
This is cracking me up!!!!
Oh the joy. Last night Astro slept like a baby. I mean he didn't wake up at all. Much better.
Yea!!! Your first full nights sleep in what 3 plus months? How awesome is that? Now I am dreading getting Cimmy spayed. The dr. wants to wait until Oct. so that we can have her completely healthy. She is still sick. On her third round of antibiotics. Hope tonight's sleep is just as restful! And that Astro behaves himself. :-)
When Charlie got spayed, I put a xxxx beater on her. I cut out two holes at the bottom of the shirt and put through her hind legs, and tie it at her back. Sort of like baby onesie type of deal. When she needed to go to the bathroom, I took her hind legs out and hiked up the shirt.

Hiked up her skirt?? Oh, shirt! Sorry, Kyoko!
Ned was supposed to stay as calm as we could have him be, but the vet wasn't too worried. He said nothing about the cone. His stitches were even the disolving kind so he didn't even need a recheck.
