Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Our member, Lynda Kamrath, has started a new business in the past year where she prints photos onto canvas. She would like to give away a free canvas print to one lucky winner! Photos are printed on canvas, mounted with a gallery wrap, and shipped to your home address. Finished size is about 15 x 20 inches.

Here are a couple photos of what the finished product will look like:

To enter for your chance to win your doodle(s) photo on canvas, you must respond to this announcement by posting a photo and writing a few words that answer the question:

"How did YOUR doodle beat the heat this summer?"

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE RULES BELOW BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR RESPONSE :-)

Your response to the contest discussion must contain:
1) Photo of your doodle(s) EMBEDDED **INTO the discussion (not an attachment to your response) -- if you don't have your doodle yet, well...use a photo that makes sense. If you aren't sure how to insert a photo into a response, click here for instructions!! I would love ALL members to learn how to do this so nobody has to add photo attachments at the bottom of their posts when sharing photos.

2) A few words to tell us about how your labradoodle or goldendoodle or (___adoodle) beat the heat this summer

3) BOTH the photo and your text need to be in the SAME response (not separated into two responses). NOTE: Try, if you are able, to resize your photos (if they are larger than 600 pixels) so they don't take forever to load.

4) Only ONE entry per member.

5) Contest will end on Sunday, Sept 20th at NOON, Pacific Standard Time.

DETERMINATION OF WINNER: The winner will be determined out of all entries via a drawing at the end of the contest time. The photo you use in your response does not have to be the photo you have printed onto canvas. The photo for the actual prize will be decided upon between you and Lynda.

Thanks Lynda for your generosity and GOOD LUCK everyone!!!

This is Aston Lewis Martin Bates. He is 16months old and my very best friend. Yes he has 2 middle names, this is because everyone called him aston martin from his early puppy years and Lewis was because i wanted him to have the same initials as me... ALB (Alexandria Lee Bates) and yes, He answers to all of these names. I was off from college this summer so too keep cool on hot summer days Aston and I went on runs through big puddles on humid, rainy summer days. Aston's all time favorite thing to do is hold his head out of the car window when its raining and get the wind and sprinkles in his face and rainy days are no exception!

charlie beat the heat this summer by having fun at the pool party with her doodle friends!!

The great leaps Gus takes to stay cool.
My doubledoodle Blaze beat the heat this summer by hanging out at the beach and digging holes in the sand to lie in. In this photo, he's looking for a good digging spot!

Max loves car rides with the wind blowing through his fur and now with his new life vest he can go boating.
Max looks like a teddy bear with all that fuzzy fur. Do you have to blow dry him or does he dry naturally and look like that? I can just see his hair blowing in the wind!

Coco and Sabrina stayed cool this summer by playing at the beach in San Diego...wow, what a great way to cool off!

Toby's most favorite thing to do in the summer to beat the heat is to sprawl out, with legs straight out behind him, and lay in the shade. In this picture we attended the Dog Days of Summer swim event for dogs, and he still preferred to lay in the shade rather than play in the water...I guess he is not much of a water dog!
Where does Toby sleep? My goldendoodle also likes to cool this way and he sleeps on the cool tiles in the bathroom. When it is hot outside, both dogs walk from shade tree to shade tree and then lie down to rest. The only problem is we have oak trees and poison oak grows under the trees, also taking advantage of the shade. Hondo likes to lie down in the cool poison oak. He's the only dog I know of who gets poison oak on his belly and inside of his ears. We have to be very careful on our walks to keep him away from poison oak.
Daffney beat the heat by

going outside in the shade

Our little Mango beat the heat by beating me to the best seat in the Pool! We'll have to get her her own float!
