Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Adina, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for starting and continuing DoodleKisses! When I started to research goldendoodles, I was led to this site. What a treasure trove this site has been for me and I do not even have my puppy yet. I see your comments and knowledge every day in response to everyone's "what do I do?". Your love of your doodles is evident with every posting.

Without this site, first of all I would have driven my DH batty with the puppy talk. Do not get me wrong, he is very excited about our puppy but talking about her 24 hours a day is not his cup of tea. Secondly, I feel much more prepared for our puppy stork visit next week than I ever possibly could have. I have learned about poochie bells, crate training, and bully sticks. All of the above were not heard of when I had my last dog.

Anyway I thought it appropriate to thank you and allow others to express their thanks as well in this discussion. I am sure I will be even more thankful for this site after Allie comes home as I look for others' knowledge on any given "doodle dilemna".

THANK YOU!

I second that. DK did not exist when I was looking for a puppy and decided on a doodle. After having Lucy for a year Adina started DK and I have learned soooooo much from this site it is amazing. I know I did some things wrong from day one with Lucy, but she hasn't turned out tooooo bad after all of the things I have learned here and tried to fix with her. There are soooo many nice folks here that are very willing to give suggestions and post their experiances that help us all learn no matter how long you have had a dog or how many. So, yes, thank you Adina for your time and DoodleKisses.
I didn't find DK until Samantha was part of our family for 5 months. It didn't take me long to be Addicted to DK. I also have learned so much -
cooking for them (have since added another) which Samantha and Charli are forever indebted,
clicker training,
grooming (saving tons of money since learning to do it myself),
sharing stories and pictures
making virtual friends which some have turned into real life friends up and down the East Coast,
debating
Doodle Romps are lifes greatest pleasures
taking pictures of blacks which is virtually impossible I might add,
and my newest Doodle passion
RESCUE - helping to save and make the life of a Doodle wonderful

I can't THANK YOU ENOUGH ADINA for starting DK!!!!!!! It certainly has changed my life (and that of my Doodle girls) for the better!!
Ditto, ditto, ditto. My savior was Puppy Madness - the name says it all!! I feel like I have a huge extended family, it's wonderful and we all love our doodles :-)
I have to agree completely!! I knew nothing about goldendoodles or dogs for that matter. Then one day our realtor when buying our house had an 8 month old Goldendoodle and my DH and I just LOVED her! Finally 1 1/2 years later we got our goldendoodle Hunter. I swear if it wasn't for this site I would have driven my DH absolutely insane with all of my doodle talk! Adina you are WONDERFUL!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!
Aside from all the other good things Adina has done, I am grateful that she has inspired me, and us all, to get out our cameras for the calendar contest.
Here Here !!!!
I came across this site accidently while searching the internet for doodle related places...I didn't even have our Oliver yet, but I was hooked from day one...It is the first place I go in the morning when I go on my computer. I just love reading everything on this site...And the pictures, OMG, they are sooooo cute and sooooo good....Because of this site, I convinced my husband to go to a doodle romp, and he was able to see all the different doodles, and we met so many nice doodle owners..It is because of this that I was able to convince him to get a doodle...So u see Adina, u are the reason for so much happiness around our house. And there is always a friendly bit of advice on this site from you and so many others...Thank you again for one of the best sites on the internet...Cheryl
Thank you everyone for your kind words. They mean a lot...because when this all started I had no idea it if would amount to much. This site has been and is incredibly fun for me too =)
Wow Adina-I thank you too-this site is truly so enjoyable and has given me hours of pleasure, advice and even doodle companionship from people all over the world. There are no boundaries here-we are all just here to talk and read about our dogs. Thks again for "inventing" this!
Adina: this is truly a labor of love that you have so kindly shared with all of us. I can not thank you enough and all the members who share so freely their advice, knowledge, and love of their doodles. As a new member i am still learning my way around the website and am thrilled to have so much knowledge at my fingertips. You have brighten all of our lives!

I agree - thank you Adina! I'm new to doodlekisses but am making up for lost time! As I told someone today, little did I know that when we got Leo we were not just getting a dog, but an entire community! And that's thanks to Adina for getting this started and to all who contribute and support us in our "doodledom"!
I add my thanks also. Not only have I been able to feed my doodle addiction, I have really increased my technology skills. I wish I had found dk before getting Ned so that I would have had lots of "insider" information when choosing him, but I lucked out and ended up with a wonderfully fun little guy; and he has benefited from all that I have learned - food, grooming, health, etc. I am not into Facebook, MySpace or Twitter and could never figure out why anyone over 21 would join those groups, then, I realized I belong to doodle facebook and I LOVE it. I realize that I have made many new friends and could probably set up a doodle playdate for Ned anywhere I traveled. As a side note I have increased my picture-taking skills so that I could share my doodle with others (not that everyone cares - see below) .
On the down side - I run after complete strangers who might be walking a doodle; I brag about doodlekisses to everyone I meet at dog parks; and I never shut up about my doodle. I have learned to recognize that it is time to move on when their eyes glaze over!
