This weekend I took my Doodle to a studio for professional photos. Normally, my dog is really good with sit/down/stay and doing his cute little "tricks". Before we went to the studio, I had visions of all of these cute photos I would have of him bowing, waving, holding up his paw, etc.....We were even practicing outside the studio door and he was on cue for every command. I was excited, doodle was excited, it was going to be great! LOL!
On the first picture the photographer had him jump up on a pretty tall table and lie down. That picture turned out pretty good. But, after he heard the click and loud "POOF" of the flash it was all over. We got him to stay long enough for about 5 more poses but he looked "shell shocked" in them. Poor boy! He would not sit, stay, lie down(except like he was ducking for cover ready to make a break for it), and forget about any tricks! I would not consider him a timid dog. (He is not afraid of loud sounds like fireworks, thunderstorms). Next time, how can I get him not to be afraid of the flash and "POOF" sound? Also, I would like to hear about others experience with studio photos.
