My Goldendoodle got mistaken for a sheep!

So Fenway, Dustin, and I were at the dog park today and Dustin was getting lots and lots of attention form the two Australian Shepherds that also come to the dog park. They were "herding" him all around, which didn't please Dustin at all. He's very submissive to all dogs so he was not sure about all of this attention he was getting. I couldn't figure out why they were chasing him around until the lady that runs the dog park mentioned that they may think that he's a sheep. I know I shouldn't have, but I had a good laugh about this. They thought my doodle was a sheep!!! And you know what he really does look like one. Just thought this was pretty hilarious and was wondering if any other doodles out there have had this experience. Have any other doodles been mistaken for sheep by people or other dogs?

Fenway's hair is very short right now and she looks more like a curly wipet instead of a doodle or a sheep, but who knows what will happen once her hair grows out. Fenway could actually give those Aussies a run for their money because she is the fastest dog at the dog park!

Yes, actually my Annabelle was 'handled' the same way when I took her to puppy obedience class. :+) The instructor had a Border Collie that simply would not let Annabelle 'move'. It was very funny and once the instructor realized what her dog was doing, she put him away but was giggling because Annabelle does look like a sheep and her dog was simply 'doing what came naturally!' I think it happens a lot with doodles!

Not a sheep, but when we were at puppy class the other day, and Brewster had just been groomed and fluffed, someone told me he looked like a polar bear! LOL If I let his hair get longer, he probably would look like a sheep, albeit a scraggly one! ;)

Poor Noah and Sherlock :( They didn't like being herded any more than Dustin did.
